Uchenna is a licensed physical therapist and owner of Optimum Physical Therapy. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a doctorate in physical therapy. Prior to diving into physical therapy, she played division-1 basketball at Manhattan College where she was captain for 3 years. She graduated Dean’s List at Manhattan College and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Allied health.
Uchenna has been working in outpatient orthopedics for the duration of her career. She is a certified in manual therapy and dry needling and specializes in orthopedic injuries. She has experience with a multitude of diagnoses and has worked with patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations.
She has also worked with competitive and recreational athletes, dancers, and those who wish to become more active.
Her strengths revolve around her ability to connect with her patients and work as a team. She uses a myriad of treatment techniques to compliment her plan of care and help patients reach their treatment goals.
Dr. Solana Defrant is a licensed physical therapist who received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from St.Augustine University. She has a decorated history working with an active population as well as those wishing to be more active dating back to her previous days as a personal trainer.
Besides her experience in orthopedics, Dr. Solana is also experienced with working with vestibular and neurologically impaired patients.
Dr. Solana has a passion for helping people and providing top tier care. She strives to provide individualized treatment plans that help patients reach their personal goals.
Assisting patients with regaining function, mobility, and returning to their desired activities is part of her goals for her patients.
Outside of clinical practice, Dr.Solana is also a certified pilates instructor.
